Avery Linton Legacy Foundation
Published Friday, May 8, 2015

WSA would like to express a BIG THANK YOU to the Avery Linton Legacy Foundation in thier very kind donation of $40,000. towards new sport chairs for our Jr Provincial Basketball Team and the BTG School & Tennis Program. We are extremely gratful for the hard work the Avery Linton Foundation has put forth in raising these funds that will help so many from within the Wheelchair Sports Community here in Alberta.

Below are a few Testimonials from some of our gratful reciepients:

Savannah - Jr Wheelchair Basketball Team Member

"Getting a new basketball wheelchair is beyond amazing and I was so touched by the Avery Linton Foundation's support for this awesome sport. I have been playing in a borrowed chair ever since I started playing, and now that I will have my own, I feel that my confidence as a player will be much improved. Thank you!!

Jon Bilan - Jr Wheelchair Basketball Team Member

"I am very grateful to the  Avery Linton Foundation  and Wheelchair Sports Alberta for the opportunity of receiving a new chair for wheelchair basketball.  This new chair will be a lot lighter than the one I am using now and will hopefully help  increase my speed and  shorten my turning distance,  by receiving this chair I hope it takes my ball playing to the next level"

Jayden Doll - Jr Wheelchair Basketball Team Member

"I have been playing for five years, and never had a custom made chair. A new chair will help improve my speed and chair skills, and make me taller, taking me to my goal of participating in the Canada winter games"

Mike Sandomirsky - Executive Director

"It's been a real pleasure working with Jenn Linton and her amazing Team with the Avery Linton Legacy Foundation. Because of their generosity and committment to those in need WSA has been able to revitalize our sport wheelchair fleet. Its because of this generosity that we will be able to offer additional programs and wheelchair sport opportunities to those in need"
