2016 Jr West Regional Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

Congratulations to Team Alberta on their clean sweep of the medal rounds at the 2016 Jr West Regional Wheelchair Basketball Tournament this weekend! Alberta made a strong showing with Team Blue in first, Team Black in second, and Team White in third. All-Stars: Bradon Doll and Helaina Cyr and tournament MVP Ben Moronchuk.

The 2016 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League held it's National Championships this past weekend in Kamloops, BC. Congratulations to the Bulldogs de Quebec on winning their 3rd consecutive Gold Medal. Here are the Final Results:

2016 Canadian Sledge Hockey Championship

The tournament will host Team Alberta, Team BC, Team Quebec, and Team Ontario on the weekend of May 13-15, 2016 at the Leduc Recreation Centre. Please be advised that due to construction delays and facility scheduling conflicts… WSA/BTG will not be hosting the Calgary Wheelchair Tennis Have-A-Go Day on April 30th. We will be rescheduling the Have-A-Go Day for sometime early into the month of June.
Wheelchair Sports Alberta will be hosting a BTG Wheelchair Tennis Have-A-Go Day in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, April 30th. The event will take place from 1 - 4PM at the Riverside Club located at 110 Point McKay Crescent NW, Calgary (Bowness Road & Shaganappi Trail)
Beginner level Wheelchair Tennis instruction will be provided by Tennis Canada - National Wheelchair Tennis Coach - Kai Schrameyer.

Fundraising Drive 2016

WSA will be Fundraising throughout Alberta. Watch for our canvessers coming to your community in the near future. Canvessers will be selling Cookies, Chocolate & Brownie packs in an effort to raise additional funds for the association and it's programs. The Cookies, Chocolate or Brownie packs will cost $20. Please help support the Wheelchair Sports Community in Alberta by purchasing one of our Cookie, Chocolate or Brownie Packs.
How To Identify Our Sanctioned Canvassers:
Canvassers will all have proper WSA identification. Each one should be wearing a WSA inscribed jacket, have an authentic WSA Name Badge along with licensing and information on our association. Canvassers will always offer the products that we are selling. We accept cash or cheque for the purchase. Canvessers will never ask for a straight cash donation without providing the product that we are selling. Should you encounter a canvasser who does not fit this profile or who is asking for cash donations without providing the product we are selling please contact our Fundraising Hotline number listed below.
